Offers various social/recreational activities and services for seniors and community members.
The Courtenay Legion offers a wide range of activities to members of the Courtenay community, including:
  • Medical equipment available for loan. Includes wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, commodes, bathbenches, and more. No charge for members.
  • Social visits to members in care homes on a weekly basis (chat and snack)
  • Bursaries to students of Mark Isfeld and GP Vanier Secondary Schools
  • Social and recreational activities such as card games, line dancing, and darts
  • Bands and other performances
  • A monthly social dinner ("steak dinner")
  • Assess eligibility for emergency financial assistance through the Poppy Fund

Membership is open to any Canadian over age 18. Memberships cost $60/year.
