Public Health Units offers a variety of services in one location.
  • Early Years: Public Health Nurses (PHNs) assess maternal & newborn health and development, and provide education and ongoing support through early childhood as needed.
  • Child Health Clinics: Global health and development assessments, health information, education and referrals. Immunizations according to the BC Immunization Guide for children at 2, 4, 6, 12, and 18 months, and for 4-6 year olds.

    • Ashcroft Community Health Centre offers a variety of services in one location. The types of services delivered depend on patient needs and on whether comparable services are available nearby. Ashcroft Community Health Centre offers specialized care for community living and therefore is classified based on that service.

    Ashcroft Community Health Centre provides:
  • Basic laboratory
  • Diagnostic (medical) imaging - Hours: Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Due to a staff shortage, hours can vary from week to week.
  • Urgent and primary care
  • Community services
  • Long-term care services
  • On-site doctors’ offices

    Community Health Centres do not have acute care beds, but may provide: basic laboratory and radiology; urgent care; outpatient ambulatory care; community services; long term residential care services; and/or on-site doctors’ offices.
