Publicly Funded (free) vaccines are available through:
- Public Health Centres
- Family physicians
- Nurse practitioners
- Certified pharmacists
Vaccines recommended for all adults:
- HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine
- Influenza (flu) vaccine
- Pertussis vaccine
- Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine
- RSV vaccine
- Shingles vaccine
- TD (tetanus and diphtheria)
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Program
For the 2025-2026 RSV season, eligible infants and children under 2 years of age can receive Nirsevimab which is a single-dose monoclonal antibody injection providing protection against severe illness due to RSV infection. RSV season is typically from October until the end of March.
Infants and children under 2 years of age may qualify for the following reasons:
- Born premature
- Have chronic medical conditions
- Live in remote communities or congregate settings.

To Refer: Complete the RSV Screening Referral form and depending on patient’s location send referral to the Island Health RSV clinic intake, OR to the Public Health immunization support intake.
