Senior Support Programs
Caregiver Support, Condition Specific Support, Home Health Care, Seniors Services, and Social / Recreational
Provided by Comox Valley Senior Support Society
Provides various programs to support seniors living in Comox Valley.
The following programs are offered:
- Friendly Visiting: Offers an hour each week of in-home visiting and support to seniors who are feeling isolated and lonely.
- Caregiver Support: Offers emotional support for caregivers as well as information about programs and resources that may be helpful. Caregiver support groups are offered once per month. Phone or email support is also available.
- Senior Information and Access Support program: Helps seniors navigate systems of varying kinds. This can include dealing with the frustration of automated telephone answering systems, completing a web-based application, assisting with a paper-based application, and generally helping seniors access information as well as resources they may be eligible for.
