Y Mind Youth - Group-Based Mental Health Wellness Program

Offers a free seven-week support group for youth and young adults aged 18-30 who experience anxiety.
Y Mind Youth is a free seven-week program delivered across BC. Y Mind Youth supports people ages 18-30 who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety to learn and practice evidence-based strategies to increase coping. This group is led by trained mental health professionals and gives young adults the chance to connect with others who are experiencing similar thoughts and feelings. Made possible through our funding partners

The group provides a safe, supportive environment where youth can meet others who have had similar experiences and includes:
  • Free, seven-week mental wellness program for those experiencing mild-to-moderate stress & anxiety
  • Learn proven coping skills and meet peers who are experiencing similar thoughts and feelings
  • Each session is 2.5 hours long and is offered one evening a week, for seven weeks
  • Must be available to attend one information session at a YMCA near you to sign up, and all seven sessions.
  • Participants receive free YMCA membership for up to 14 weeks. Note: Only available at select YMCA’s
