Born Healthy - Pre and Postnatal Support Program

Born Healthy is a community-based support and education program for pregnant individuals and parents/caregivers with babies up to 9 months of age.
Born Healthy provides support and education for pregnant people and parents/caregivers with babies up to 9 months. Emphasis is on helping families develop a healthy lifestyle in order to have the healthiest pregnancy and healthiest baby possible. Born Healthy provides nutrition education (including prenatal nutrition, breastfeeding and infant feeding), counselling, mental health education, parenting information and promotes self-care practices. Born Healthy provides prenatal vitamins and bus tickets for those who need financial assistance. Social support is an important part of Born Healthy. Participants learn how to take care of themselves and their babies with expert advice from local professionals in the areas of:
  • Infant & child safety
  • Infant sleep
  • Feeding and nutrition
  • Lactation & breastfeeding
  • Development
  • Maternal wellbeing
  • Literacy
  • Dental hygiene
  • Eye care
  • Car seat safety
  • CPR & choking
  • Pelvic floor health
  • Infant massage
  • Positive parenting & coping strategies
  • Self-care


Sessions occur on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and consist of conversation, connection, education and a nutritious, delicious meal.
