Provides free basic income tax return preparation to assist individuals and families in the Ladysmith area complete their income tax returns.
The LRCA Community Volunteer Income Tax Program provides basic income tax return preparation for individuals in Ladysmith. Specially trained volunteers are available to assist with completing tax forms.
Intake is held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in March and April from 10:00 AM to 2:00PM, with a lunch break from 12 to 12:30 p.m. Assistance with completing older taxes will not be available at the beginning of the tax season, as volunteers will be occupied with current filings.
The tax program can prepare simple tax returns for individuals whose income is as follows: Singles: $35,000. Couples: $45,000, plus $2,500 for each dependent or any senior receiving the Guaranteed Income Supplement.
